Making a Game in Unity 022: Holes in Ships

making a game in Unity 022

This devlog is a little shorter than usual, partially because I spent some time with family over Christmas, but also because I procrastinated a bunch. I’ve decided to try a different strategy to hopefully overcome that, since planning out my days wasn’t exactly working for me.

Regardless, I finally added holes in ships to the physical world, which was a bit overdue. I still need to make it so clients can see those holes and repair them, but all the server-side stuff is there now.

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me this last year, especially during the last few months as I started my YouTube channel, and (although it’s a couple days early), I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year!

As always, if you’re interested in more videos like this, leave a like (it really helps out with the YouTube algorithm), and consider subscribing. Also, come check out the Discord server where you can share your progress, ask for help, and hang out with other game developers.
